HEART FACE CHARACTERISTICS
HAIRSTYLES FOR HEART FACES
Due to the prominent jawline on most heart-shape faces, it’s best to look for hairstyles that soften. Long to medium-length hair with layers and natural waves is very flattering on this face shape. Shaggy, side-swept bangs are a great way to camouflage a larger forehead, Just don't go too short with your hairstyle or bangs.
SUNGLASSES FOR HEART FACES
If you have a heart shaped face, look for narrow sunglasses with bottom heavy (but thin) frames that balance the features of your face. Soften high cheekbones with a cat eye frame or frames with rounded edges.
CONTOURING A HEART FACE
Contouring is when you use a matte powder or cream that's two shades darker than your skin tone to shade areas you'd like to define or reshape (like your nose, forehead, chin, and cheekbones).
Highlighting offsets contouring by accentuating areas of your face with light concealer. To properly highlight, use a concealer that's two shades lighter than your skin tone to emphasize the areas of your face that naturally catch the light.

HATS FOR HEART FACES
Wide-brimmed, circular floppy hats do no favors for a heart shaped face. The wide brim enhances the wideness of your forehead and cheekbones and the narrowness of your jaw. Go for hats with shorter brims and angles, like a fedora. The slanted brim will add the illusion of width to your chin area. Newsboy caps, jockey caps, and baseball caps also support the narrowness of your jaw without highlighting it because the width of the brim does not extend past your cheekbones.
